I would say this is a good story with lots of twists and turns in it. My problem with it is that if there was ever a book in need of a GOOD proof reader, this is it. There are just so many misused words that I was constantly stopping and saying "you are = you're not your", altar (the place in a church) does not equal alter. There was one paragraph where an altar (in a church) was mentioned 3 times, and 2 of those times it was spelled alter. Purposed is not the same as proposed - not "it was the place he purposed to me", but "it was the place he proposed to me". Past does NOT equal passed - not at all. Several times the correct form was used, but it seemed more accidental than anything else. In my dictionary the past tense of lead (he will lead the troops) is led - as in "he led the troops in battle" (yesterday - past).To me this was just such a frustrating read that although overall I enjoyed it, I will not purchase additional books by this author until he proves to me that he knows basic English, by putting out a corrected version of this volume.
By the way - without all of the errors I would have probably given this a 5 star review.

This book is exciting and fun to read. It a great story and would make a great movie. Can't put it down . Great for young and old.
I'm reading it now got the second time.

I gave this book 5 stars because the plot and story line are very intriguing. Mr. Allen is a fantastic authour! His stories pull the reader in to his books and fill ones imagination so vividly that you can feel like you are in the story line!!! I highly recommend that everyone takes a read!!! I can't wait for the next one to come out! )
Super fast read. I was immediately sucked in to this action packed, suspenseful novel and couldn't put it down! Easy reading and appropriate for all ages. My husband, who doesn't usually enjoy reading couldn't put it down either! Would love to see this story as a movie. Can wait for the second book to be released!
I very much enjoyed the story and the characters. I was distracted by a few inconsistencies and a lot of grammatical errors. A good editor would make a huge difference in the readability of this book.
The storyline had me from the start. There was one unexpected turn after another. I became highly invested in the characters. I am looking forward to reading the next book. It was a time travel book that relied not on time travel but on the characters. LOVED IT !!!!
I loved this Book it is very well written and the imagination that the Author brought to the pages of this book is wonderful. I was hooked on it from the first page a great story line with lots of action and a easy read, The author intertwined all the main players so well it was very simple to follow ,the only thing i didn't like is it ended and I now have to wait for book two ........... A Great Read
I thought it has a integration of modern day and medieval days. You get swords and magic but they use characters from the current date U.S. I gave this book only 3 stars because just like all the other stories the hero gets beat nearly to death over and over and over... But the Author did leave a nice twist at the end of the book that leads the reader waiting for the next book to learn more. I will be watching for it.
